Duties & Responsibilities:
- Formulate planning and management principles with assessment thresholds for the establishment of guidelines useful in technology development and demonstration research farms on irrigation and drainage schemes, practices and facilities;
- Mobilize governmental and private support with complementation mechanics established, through the proposal validation process, in the planning, implementation and review of research and training programs and dissemination of findings;
- Harmonize Agency and irrigators associations’ responsibilities with innovations in the physical configuration, operations schemes and management requirement of irrigation and drainage systems, intended at achieving effective partnership;
- Devise selection and screening parameters with thresholds assigned for the development of criteria in the short-listing and prioritization of irrigation and drainage projects for development and irrigation and drainage systems for upgrading;
- Prepare research and training proposals with cost shown on irrigation and drainage commodity, giving higher priority to areas on filling in gaps in relevant technologies, enhancing operating skills and improving resource productivity;
- Perform other related functions.
