Partnership of NIA and IAs in Mitigating the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic
The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) and Irrigators Associations (IAs) are one with the nation in fighting Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic. As part of the Agency's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), NIA steps up by conducting various efforts to help our farmers, frontliners, and COVID-affected families through NIA Regional Offices, NIA Employees Association of the Philippines (NIAEASP), and IAs nationwide.
The support and assistance include the provision of relief goods and cash support to IA members, sacks of rice for affected families, and food packs, including fresh farm produce and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), for frontliners on various check points, police stations, hospitals, and quarantine facilities.
NIA Top Management Officials, headed by Administrator Ricardo R Visaya, assure that NIA is doing its best in extending assistance to frontliners and farmers, the backliners of this battle against COVID-19.
Indeed, NIA has proven that helping others in the midst of crisis is the best gift to humanity.
